Dak Galbi Recipe (Korean Spicy Stir-Fried Chicken)
Ingredients
For the chicken & veggies:

1 lb (450g) boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces

1 cup cabbage, chopped
-
1 small sweet potato, sliced thin
-
1 small onion, sliced
-
1 cup rice cakes (tteok), optional
-
1–2 scallions, chopped
-
1 tbsp oil
For the marinade (gochujang sauce):
-
2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
-
1 tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
-
1 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tbsp sugar or honey
-
1 tbsp minced garlic
-
1 tsp ginger (optional)
-
1 tbsp rice wine or mirin

1 tbsp sesame oil
Instructions

Marinate the chicken:
Mix all sauce ingredients, then coat chicken pieces. Marinate 20–30 minutes. -
Heat the pan:
Add oil to a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat. -
Cook the chicken:
Add marinated chicken and cook until it begins to brown. -
Add veggies & rice cakes:
Add cabbage, onions, sweet potato, and tteok. Stir-fry 10–12 minutes until tender and coated in sauce. -
Finish & serve:
Add scallions and a drizzle of sesame oil. Serve with rice or wrap in lettuce leaves.
